A good read but I would have liked a bit more action and suspense.

The Life I Always Wanted
by
LOUISA NIXON
Never be afraid to ask for help,
To take that leap,
Free fall into the unknown,
But the most important thing of all......
Never look back.
Intended for readers over the age of 18 due to adult themes and scenes of violence.
I really wanted to like this but sadly I didn't. I felt for such an emotional subject that I would feel some emotion towards Ria and the pain she has suffered at the hands of an abusive husband but I didn't. I felt the whole story was rushed and I'm sure with a little more work this would have been a beautiful debut novel.

Poor Little Daddy's Girl (Daddy's Girl #3)
by Normandie AllemanTwenty-four-year-old Charmaine Bainbridge appears to have it all—beauty, fame, and tremendous wealth—yet behind all the glitz and glamor hides a sad little girl who has been abandoned by every man she’s ever loved.
When firefighter Hunter Baldwin saves Charmaine from a fire in her penthouse apartment—a blaze started by her own carelessness—he’s appalled by her nonchalant attitude. Forced to carry her to safety, he throws her over his shoulder, but not before correcting her behavior with a well-deserved spanking. Something about Charmaine arouses him deeply, and it isn’t just her gorgeous looks. This girl needs to be firmly corrected and thoroughly dominated, and a part of Hunter demands that he be the one to take her in hand.
Though he’s used to charging into burning buildings on a daily basis, Hunter knows taming Charmaine’s wild ways may prove to be his greatest challenge yet. Undeterred, he takes on the role of Charmaine’s daddy dom in hopes of breaking down her defenses and healing her wounds. But can she bring herself to open her heart to him, or will she remain the lonely little rich girl forever?
Sadly this is a DNF at 61%
I had high hopes for this read, I'm quite partial to a spanking novel and this certainly has it but that's about it. I didn't find the characters all that likeable and found the story just didn't hold my attention.
Lots of people on Goodreads did like it and that's great but its a 'no' for me.

Then, before I knew it, I had fallen for a girl from another world. ~Jaxson Reid
Two unlikely friends—the innocent, good girl and the notorious bad boy. One fateful night brought them together, and they formed a bond—one so strong it was unbreakable—until one night they gave into temptation.

This is Book One in the Men Of Honor series. It can be read as a standalone and has a HEA. It’s New Adult Romance and is told from both character’s POV. Due to strong sexual content, coarse language and mature subject matter this book is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

Wanted: Adventurous, open-minded man willing to try anything…
As a popular sex blogger, Beatriz gets paid to have orgasms. So being on deadline the week of her sister’s wedding isn’t as rough as it sounds. There’s just one hitch: Bea’s assignment is to write a review of a sex position manual, but she doesn’t have a plus one to play with.
The good news: Ben, the one who got away back in college, is also attending stag--and he's as temptingly gorgeous as ever.
The bad news: Ben turned down Bea’s offer of graduation night sex five years ago.
The best news: He’s not planning on making the same mistake twice.
A red-hot retelling of Much Ado About Nothing for people who love Shakespeare but thought his plays could use a few more sex scenes.
A Cosmo Red-Hot Read
Short but sweet, naughty and nice, and sooooo funny, Tiffany Reisz has done it again with the latest erotica novella. A brilliant read for an afternoon, and it's really easy to get along with, its as if you already know the characters.
Such a thoughtful wedding pressie from a character from another book ( sorry, I am not giving it away ;-))
I love the Bell hop, I think I might need more of him x

Product Description
Brady Fitzpatrick has spent a decade burying the pain of a
broken heart while working for SIEGE, an information-gathering spy
agency. That it kept him away from his family as well as his best friend
Molly has been an unfortunate side effect. But when his brother, also
an agent, is killed during a foreign op, Brady is drawn into a web of
intrigue that threatens the lives of everyone he loves…
Molly
Byrnes has loved Brady forever. As his best friend and a de facto
member of the Fitzpatrick family, she holds them together in their
crushing grief. But as a member SIEGE’s ground team, she doesn't buy the
official line about Brady’s brother’s “accidental” death and launches
her own investigation—only to uncover a shocking secret that she and
Brady must get to the bottom of before their target finds them.
Started off well but became more unbelievable as the story progressed. It was a pleasant enough read. I wouldn't really class this as Military romance even though this is what I was led to believe. I thought SEIGE was a bit wishy washy and the bad guys could have been overpowered with a 4 yr old brandishing a water pistol (sorry that was a little unfair) The bad guys could have been a bit more badder! ( Is that even a word?!)
And the dangling knives...what is this a cartoon.

Risking It All for Her Boss by Sharron McClellan

Heroes for Hire: Big Risk. Big Reward. No Regrets.
When High Risk Securities (HRS) agent, Eva Torres, botches an undercover job by failing
to rescue both of the kidnap victims she was sent to retrieve, Quinn Blackwood—her former
lover and the man who broke her heart—pulls her and one of the victims out of harm’s way.
As a penalty for her sins, she’s offered the dull job of escorting a former bio-chemical warfare
scientist to Washington D.C. to reunite with his daughter. Much to her displeasure, the job of
monitoring her assignment is given to Quinn.
Quinn isn’t thrilled with the situation either. He taught Eva everything he knew about secrets,
sex, and lies—but the biggest lie of all was the one he’d told himself: that his missions for
HRS were more important than anything, including his relationship with Eva. Because now
that they’re working together again, the urge to put his hands on her, to feel her beneath him, is
killing him.
Things only get worse when their current operation goes wrong, and the scientist they’re
guarding is kidnapped mid-air. Now, Eva and Quinn have to work together to find him before he
is forced to create a monstrous weapon that could destroy entire cities. A hard task made more
difficult when they find themselves fighting both the enemy and their building desire for each
other. Can they work together for the sake of the mission without reigniting the passion between
them—or will passion be the salvation of them all?
This is a military romance set in Colombia and America. It started off well, straight into the action with Eva rescuing Felix but then it fizzles out. This could do with more...everything. More description, more action, more suspense, just more everything. The story line is good and with a bit more Oomph it would be a fantastic read.
