Silencing Sapphire by Mia Thompson.

Product Description

While setting her sights on a new serial killer, Beverly Hills heiress and vigilante, Sapphire Dubois, fights to cancel the wedding of the season in the sequel to the bestselling New Adult Thriller STALKING SAPPHIRE.

As a new serial killer dubbed the “Stripper Slayer” plagues Los Angeles, Sapphire once again sheds her socialite persona, this time to go undercover as a penniless stripper. Struggling to find the brutal man before he slays again, Sapphire finds that the thin wall separating her double life is cracking. Her family and friends expect her to walk down the aisle with the most eligible bachelor among the Beverly Hills elite; a man she doesn’t want. Meanwhile, the man she does want, handsome Detective Aston Ridder, is making her life hell as he closes in on the Serial Catcher’s trail.

Sapphire scrambles to keep the chaos at bay, unaware that someone else is tracking her as well. A serial killer from her past is back and will stop at nothing to get his vengeance.

This is book 2 in the Sapphire series and I loved this one too.  So funny.  Sapphires love life is a disaster but her ability to catch the serial killers is first class.  She's put Aston in an impossible position and made herself a social outcast.  Mia you're fast becoming my favourite author.

Don't Look Away by Leslie Kelly

CAN A MURDER VICTIM'S OWN MEMORIES BE USED TO SOLVE A CRIME? Detective Veronica Sloan isn’t shocked by much. Having lived through the worst terrorist attacks in history—which destroyed much of Washington, D.C.—she’s immune to even the most vicious brutality. But even she is stunned by the discovery of a murder in the basement of the under-reconstruction White House. Sloan and FBI Agent Jeremy Sykes have been assigned to investigate the homicide because the victim was a participant in a top-secret experiment. Veronica has been training for just this kind of case, waiting to use her special skills, anxious to learn if a recording device implanted in a victim’s head can help solve their murder….before the killer strikes again.

I gave this 4 stars, its set in the future (2017) after the white house is destroyed. Detective Veronica Sloan has to investigate a murder when a headless corpse of a young woman is found. Plenty of twists and turns, grusome murders aplenty, a great read

Getting Rowdy By Lori Foster

It's only 3 stars for me.
It's no where near as good as the last 2. Nothing really happens until your well over 100 pages in and barely any action or suspense until the last 50 pages.
Very disappointing, I'm a big fan of Lori Foster but for me this wasn't worth the wait.
