Gabriel's Redemption (Gabriel's Inferno #3) by Sylvain Reynard

Professor Gabriel Emerson has left his position at the University of Toronto to embark on a new life with his beloved Julianne. Together, he’s confident that they can face any challenge. And he’s eager to become a father.

But Julianne’s graduate program threatens Gabriel’s plans, as the pressures of being a student become all consuming. When she is given the honor of presenting an academic lecture at Oxford, Gabriel is forced to confront her about the subject of her presentation – research that conflicts with his own. And in Oxford, several individuals from their past appear, including an old nemesis intent on humiliating Julia and exposing one of Gabriel’s darkest secrets.

In an effort to confront his remaining demons, Gabriel begins a quest to discover more about his biological parents, beginning a chain of events that has startling repercussions for himself, Julianne, and his hope of having a family.

I was so looking forward to reading this book, the 7 months waiting seemed like forever but finally the day arrived. Now 5 days later and i'm finished and I have to say it fell flat for me. We have the story of Gabriel and Julianne which seemed to be an account of day to day life with only a couple of interesting bits (sorry, i'm not giving anything away) Then theres Christa, some would say she got what she deserved and yes i think she did but it didn't keep me up till 2am reading so I could find out what happened to the nasty bitch. And then theres Paul...Why was he included? I seems to me his was a non story. I think I should have stopped at book 2 ( I can't believe I just said that!).

 4 very generous stars.

Knight Takes Queen (The Knight Trilogy) By CC Gibbs.

Pub Date

Kate knows the irrestistible attraction she feels for Dominic Knight could forfeit her chance at happiness, but she's finding it impossible to stay away...
Knight Takes Queen is the final instalment in a trilogy featuring the clever and sensitive Katherine Hart and her indomitable billionaire lover, Dominic Knight.

The wait is finally over, If you're like me you could barely wait to find out what happened next.  I think it could have been a little more than it was,  I thought the ex-wife would have caused more trouble and the mafia boss too but I was left wanting even the stay at his "Hotel" was a let down.  Only thing I would say is I love the end, maybe the story begins again?

Deeper We Fall, Fall and Rise Series, Book One By Chelsea M. Cameron

Description

Two years after her best friend was involved in a car accident that caused a traumatic brain injury, Lottie Anders is ready to start her freshman year of college. Ready to move on. Ready to start forgetting the night that ripped her life apart.

Her plans come to a screeching halt when not one, but both brothers responsible for the accident end up back in her life again.

Zack is cruel, selfish and constantly rubbing what happened to her friend in Lottie's face.

Zan is different. He listens to her awkward ramblings. He loves "To Kill a Mockingbird" as much as she does, and his dark eyes are irresistible. His words are few and far between, but when he does speak, she can't help but listen.

The trouble is, Zan was the driver in the accident, and now Lottie's discovered he lied to her about what happened that night. Now she must decide if trusting him again will lead to real forgiveness, or deeper heartache.

A very good book, I like the way its written, I like the characters (even Zack).  Lottie tells herself she should hate him for what he did.  This is Lotties story of hate that turns to love and the struggle she has maintaining friendship with Lexi.  I enjoyed the book and I will be reading book 2

Beg by CD Reiss

Description

****WARNING - THIS BOOK IS FOR ADULTS*****

My name is Monica. I'm a singer born and raised in Los Angeles.
I've stopped dating. When I cut a record, or win a Grammy, maybe then I'll be with someone, but every man in my past has done everything he could to make me submit myself to him, and it's gotten in the way of my career. I won't do it again.

But there's Jonathan. He owns the high-rise hotel where I work, and he is gorgeous and charming. I refuse to fall in love with him, even though when he asks me to submit to him, I want nothing more.

And also, there's lots of CURSING and HOT SEX.
--------------------------
If you loved Fifty Shades of Grey or Sylvia Day's Crossfire series, you'll love BEG - book one in Songs of Submission...
--------------------------
This novella is the first in a series, and is about 100 pages long.
Boxed set of Sequence One, the first three novellas, Beg/Tease/Submit - Available on Amazon.

Well, here is my pet hate again, Novellas.  You just get into a book and it ends, then you have to wait weeks sometimes months before the next ones out, by which time you've read a further 10 books and now you have to go back and re read the first novella so that you can remember what the hell is going on before you read the new one. * And breathe* Well now thats over with I have to say this novella was great, and yes , if you enjoyed 50 shades or the crossfire series then these are for you.  This is hot and steamy but will Monica submit to the hansome and rich Johnathan?

Do or Die, Reluctant Heroes Series by Suzanne Brockmann

Description

Suzanne Brockmann’s seamless blend of heroic military action and intense passion inspired USA Today to call her “a superstar of romantic suspense”—and for years her award-winning Troubleshooters books have been must-reads for fans of sizzling stories of action and adventure. Now the New York Times bestselling author shoots to thrill again with Do or Die, an electrifying new novel that is certain to win Brockmann new readers and delight devotees.

Navy SEAL Ian Dunn went rogue in a big way when he turned his talents to a lawless life of jewel heists and con jobs. Or so the world has been led to believe. In reality, the former Special Ops warrior is still fighting for good, leading a small band of freelance covert operatives who take care of high-stakes business in highly unofficial ways. That makes Ian the hands-down choice when the U.S. government must breach a heavily guarded embassy and rescue a pair of children kidnapped by their own father, a sinister foreign national willing to turn his kids into casualties. Shockingly, Ian passes on the mission for reasons he will not—or cannot—reveal.

But saying no is not an option. Especially not for Phoebe Kruger, Ian’s beautiful and unexpectedly brash new attorney. Determined to see the abducted children set free, she not only gets Ian on board but insists on riding shotgun on his Mission: Impossible–style operation, whether he likes it or not.

Though Phoebe has a valuable knack for getting out of tight spots, there’s no denying the intensely intimate feelings growing between Ian and Phoebe as the team gears up for combat. But these are feelings they both must fight to control as they face an array of cold-blooded adversaries, including a vindictive mob boss who’s got Ian at the top of his hit list and a wealthy psychopath who loves murder as much as money. As they dodge death squads and play lethal games of deception, Ian and Phoebe will do whatever it takes to save the innocent and vanquish the guilty—or die trying.

Published Feb 2014 by Ballantine Books

This is the first time I'd read anything by Suzanne Brockmann and I loved it, couldn't put it down.  Ian and his team are out of hiding to do a job the US Government can't touch without an causing international incident and new attorney, Phoebe, is dropped in the deep end by being associated with Ian.  But in  the end, Murphys Law strikes, What can go wrong,  will go wrong!

This is book 2 in the Sapphire series and I loved this one too.  So funny.  Sapphires love life is a disaster but her ability to catch the serial killers is first class.  She's put Aston in an impossible position and made herself a social outcast.  Mia you're fast becoming my favourite author.

Don't Look Away by Leslie Kelly

CAN A MURDER VICTIM'S OWN MEMORIES BE USED TO SOLVE A CRIME? Detective Veronica Sloan isn’t shocked by much. Having lived through the worst terrorist attacks in history—which destroyed much of Washington, D.C.—she’s immune to even the most vicious brutality. But even she is stunned by the discovery of a murder in the basement of the under-reconstruction White House. Sloan and FBI Agent Jeremy Sykes have been assigned to investigate the homicide because the victim was a participant in a top-secret experiment. Veronica has been training for just this kind of case, waiting to use her special skills, anxious to learn if a recording device implanted in a victim’s head can help solve their murder….before the killer strikes again.

I gave this 4 stars, its set in the future (2017) after the white house is destroyed. Detective Veronica Sloan has to investigate a murder when a headless corpse of a young woman is found. Plenty of twists and turns, grusome murders aplenty, a great read

Getting Rowdy By Lori Foster

It's only 3 stars for me.
It's no where near as good as the last 2. Nothing really happens until your well over 100 pages in and barely any action or suspense until the last 50 pages.
Very disappointing, I'm a big fan of Lori Foster but for me this wasn't worth the wait.

The Chateau by Irene Taylor

Smith Publicity -- Troubador Publishing Ltd
A dramatic tale of mystery and suspense set in Scotland and France. The Chateau has an innovative plot, feisty central character and an evocative style with a dramatic ending which demands the reader to beg for a sequel.

The question: who can and cannot survive?

In this dramatic tale of mystery and suspense set between Scotland and France, we find ourselves witnessing a titanic struggle between love and loyalty versus greed, jealousy and betrayal. The spellbinding conclusion excites the imagination of every reader.

About the author

Irene Taylor graduated with a Masters degree in Modern Languages and History from the University of Glasgow, then entered into a career in Scottish Industry specialising in exports where she was invited to be the first woman to lead a Scottish Trade Mission.  Her travels, years spent living in France and her success in a male-dominated business inspired her new book,

This is a DNF (did not finish) for me, I always try my very hardest to complete a book when I'm given the opportunity to review it.. The author Irene Taylor has no doubt worked extremely hard her entire life gaining a masters degree and also on this, her debut book but I felt as if I was being spoken down to.  What's wrong with ordinary plain, down to earth English? not everyone has a masters degree in modern language.  This said, I did enjoy the descriptions of the places and the paintings etc, the author really made these come to life and I wished she'd done the same for the characters.  I'm half way thought this book and I still barely know them, I have no emotional attachment to any of them.  Sadly I'm kind of bored with it and feel I'm just going through the motions.

Sole Witness by Jenn Black

Detective Davis Hamilton is struggling to balance his career and his personal life. The high profile murder case couldn’t have come across his desk at a worse time--his partner is so pregnant she’s about to pop, and the sole witness is not only a suspect herself... she’s Lori Summers, famous for surfing killer waves in equally killer designer bikinis, and known deep in his heart as the one who got away.

Lori Summers decided the day Davis Hamilton dumped her for a society wife, that she didn’t need a man in order to be somebody. She lived up her daredevil career with glamorous international photo shoots until tragedy brought her back to her home town to face the past and re-think the future. Stumbling over a dead rap star wasn’t supposed to be part of that equation, and neither was running from a killer... right into the arms of the last man on earth she’d dare to trust

Set in Florida, Lori Summers is chased down by a killer and Det Davis Hamilton and his partner have to figure out the killer before time runs out. Although Davis and Lori have been involved before I didn't really feel the emotional connection between them. I would have expected anger towards him for dumping her for a cheerleader and I also didn't really feel any heat when their love is rekindled. A pleasent enough read.

Kindle Edition, 501 pages
Published July 2nd 2013 by Forever
The long awaited continuing story of Ava and Jesse.  This is the last book in the 'This man' trilogy, the end of an amazing , funny, emotional, sometimes heart wrenching roller coaster of a novel by first time writer Jodi Ellen Malpas.
The books start with Ava a confident, independent 26 year old who is carving a name for herself in the interior design business until arrogant, hot headed, insufferable lord of 'The Manor' Jesse tramples into her life.    Through the ups and downs they learn to live and love despite Jesse's past constantly rearing it ugly head.
I've waited for this book for months and I wasn't disappointed I thought it was just as good as the previous two and now I'm a little sad its all over.  Jodi has done an excellent job and I look forward to reading more from this great author.

“We’re not conventional, baby. But we’re special. What we have is really special. You belong to me, and I belong to you. It just is. It’s not natural for us to be apart, Ava.”

This was good, I'd never read anything by Lisa Jackson before and so I haven't read any of the books in the series leading upto this one.  I caught the jist of what had happen previously as Lisa filled in the blanks without being bogged down with too much detail from the previous books.  Only thing I would say is the gap between the murders and the 'who dunnit' bit was alittle to long for me and my mind was wandering on what to read next instead of finishing this first.  I did enjoy it and I would read the next one.

The Legacy Collection By Ruth Cardello

Book 1: Maid for the Billionaire

Abby has always been the responsible one. She doesn't believe in taking risks; especially when it comes to men - until she meets Dominic. He's both infuriating and intoxicating, a heady combination. Their trip to China revives a long forgotten side of Abby, but also reveals a threat to bring down Dominic's company. With no time to explain her actions, Abby must either influence the outcome of his latest venture and save his company or accept her role as his mistress and leave his fate to chance. Does she love him enough to risk losing him for good?

Book 2: For Love or Legacy (Legacy Collection)

Dominic's younger sister, Nicole, asks Stephan for his help and provides him with an opportunity to exact his revenge on a personal level.

It all goes smoothly until he falls in love.

 Book 3 Bedding the Billionaire.

Lil Dartley's life is upside down. Her previously steadfast and predictable sister is marrying an influential billionaire and needs help planning the wedding of the century in less than a month. Years of middle class rebellion have not prepared Lil for handling diplomats or paparazzi.

Jake Walton knows a train wreck when he sees one. Lil was trouble from the first day he met her, but since her sister is marrying his best friend, he has no choice but to help her or this wedding will be in the news for all the wrong reasons. Teaching Lil how to fit into high society would be a whole lot easier if she didn't drive him insane both in and out of the bedroom.

 Book 4 Saving the Sheikh

Rachid bin Amir al Hantan is fighting for the sovereignty of his small country. He needs to find some powerful allies - and fast. Attending the wedding of Dominic Corisi is as much about reconnecting with old friends as it is about celebrating nuptials. The last thing he needs right now is the distraction of a woman.

Zhang Yajun is a self-made billionaire who can’t believe she accepted her friend’s dare to kiss Sheikh Rachid before the end of the wedding.

When impulsive words lead to even more impulsive actions, these two will discover that sometimes the last thing you were looking for is the one thing that can save you.

Rise of the Billionaire (Book 5 of the Legacy Collection)

Dreaming of Alethea gave Jeremy Kater the strength to survive a difficult childhood. Now that he has influential friends who owe him some big favors, he’s determined to become the kind of man Alethea would be interested in: rich and dangerous. Jeisa Borreto was hired to help Jeremy morph into that man. It’s a job she would enjoy, if it weren’t tearing her heart to pieces.

How can she help him change once she’s realized she’s fallen in love with the man he’s always been?

Books 1 to 3 I read last year and only read 4 and 5 this month.  I 've found all the characters easy to relate to, from moody billionaire Dominic Corisi to geeky computer wiz, risk taking  Jeremy Kater.
Quite a few scenes in the books made me laugh out loud especially if it involved Lil who always get herself into trouble.
This is a comtempary romance with a few thrills along the way.  I like that although each book involves a different couple, the couples from previous books are also added into the next story instead of just a guest appearance, and yes there is a Book 6 due out at the end of the year.

Entwined with you by Silvia Day

The 7 million copy global bestselling Crossfire series from Sylvia Day continues in Entwined with You as Eva and Gideon face the demons of their pasts and accept the consequences of their obsessive desires…

From the moment I first met Gideon Cross, I recognized something in him that I needed. Something I couldn't resist. I also saw the dangerous and damaged soul inside - so much like my own. I was drawn to it. I needed him as surely as I needed my heart to beat.
No one knows how much he risked for me. How much I'd been threatened, or just how dark and desperate the shadow of our pasts would become.
Entwined by our secrets, we tried to defy the odds. We made our own rules and surrendered completely to the exquisite power of possession…

Ok so its finally out and yesterday I started reading before I even got out of bed only to find that it have been so long between books I had totally forgotten what was going on so I then had to spend yesterday re-reading book 2.  I have to say now that i've started reading book 3 I'm hooked all over again and I know its going to be an emotional rollercoaster

What can i say without giving anything away!
I loved the book, the last 48hrs with Gideon and Eva have been great.
Its not so much an emotional rollercoaster like the last two so you should finish the book with your sanity intact.

Guns 'N' Tulips by Kristine Cayne

Officer Connor Kavanagh lost everything--his badge, his friends and his fiancée--when he agreed to go undercover with the mob and infiltrate the ruthless Bank Bandits. After months of scheming and strategizing, the day of the big heist--and Conner's chance to get his old life back--finally arrives, but right from the start, Conner's plans fall apart. Even worse, the woman he loves is trapped in the crosshairs of the Bank Bandits' murderous leader, and Connor is her only hope for survival.

Short but sweet story about a cop undercover with a gang of bank robbers. I've read a couple of Kristine Cayne books before and this was just as good. You will not be disappointed, a great way to pass an hour

I give it 4 STARS

The Butcher, The Baker, The Candlestick Maker, The Intimate Adventures of a Woman Who Can't Say No by Suzanne Portnoy

Random House UK, Ebury Publishing
Published 11th April 2013

Description

Suzanne's journey of self-discovery is anything but typical; her attitude towards sex and relationships even more unusual. The Butcher, The Baker, The Candlestick Maker is a story that is shocking and heart-warming in equal measure. Freed from the restraints of marriage and monogamy, Suzanne takes pleasure without commitment and tells her story without a trace of shame. She's not looking for Prince Charming anymore, but fun. And she finds it.
 DISLIKE.... ALOT.
Not sure if i'm going to finish it yet,  the third story nearly made me sick!!
I'm not a prude by any means and enjoy reading erotica but Yuck just Yuck!

Texas Hold 'Em a Smokin ACES novel by Kay David

Part law enforcement. Part criminal. And all deliciously bad…
Working undercover as part of an elite team of Rangers disguised as the Smokin’ ACES biker gang, Timothy Santos walks the thin line between law-enforcer and law-breaker. With one of his informants missing—and possibly dead—at the hands of vicious cartel leader El Brujo, Santos will do whatever it takes to find justice. Even if it means heading to Rio County to look up his former lover…who’s not only the sheriff, but Santos’s only lead.
Rose Renwick is not happy to see Santos. In the past, their chemistry had been explosive—raw, sensual, and unforgettable—but she’d been burned. Now Santos is back in town, looking just as lethal and as irresistible as she remembered. But Santos wants something from her—and suddenly Rose’s family is in danger and her town is under attack. The only way out is to trust the one man she swore never to trust again. Ante up…

You can almost taste the Texas/Mexican dust in your mouth and the heat of the sun on your back.  A good read,  the action starts just about at the beginning and continues throughout.  If anything i would have wanted a bit more description between Santo and Rose as i still can't picture what the look like in my head.  All in all a great start to what i hope will be and amazing series that I will continue reading.

I give it 4 STARS

Secrets Exposed (Tall, Dark & Deadly 0.5) by Lisa Renee Jones

A sizzling romantic suspense.

Her enemy is her passion, her passion is her enemy.

Lindsey Paxton was once the number one defence attorney in New York. She fought for those who were innocent, but charged. Her instincts were her lifeline, never failing her, as they guided her in her choices of who to defend. Or so she thought. Until she won a case she would forever wish to have lost. Her client, an accused rapist, kills and rapes a woman only a day after being set free. Destroyed by her role in the woman's death, Lindsey blames her father's controlling ways for what she has become, and runs from her career and life. Years later - the past becomes the present . . . Her father has cancer, and Lindsey is forced to leave her career with the Washington branch of the FBI. She finds herself facing the responsibility of running her father's law firm with the reluctant help of hotshot attorney Mark Reeves, a man who sparks her temper while also managing to tempt her body, her mind, maybe even her heart. With his help she finds herself fighting the emotional battles of the past, tempted to trust both him and her instincts. Now, faced with a case inherited from her father so similar to her career-ending one, she now must decide if her instincts will lead her down the path to saving an innocent man or setting free another killer. But while she fights her own battles, someone watches, wanting from the past what he had failed to get the first time . . . Lindsey.

This is a prequel to the Tall, Dark, and Deadly romance series and has previously released as Hidden Instincts.  I hate when authors do that!!!

A nice book, good story which involves Lindsey having to get Mark to bail out her father law firm when he gets cancer but a serial killer is on the lose and its up to mark and Lindsey to solve the case ....and fall in love

I give it 3 STARS

I've aready read book 1

Royce Walker, a former FBI Agent, who's opened a private security firm with his brothers, has always had the hots for the prim, proper Assistant District Attorney, but considered her hand's off because of a family connection. However, when danger threatens Lauren, he isn't willing to stand by and watch her get hurt. Now the passion for survival is only rivaled by the passion burning between them. And that passion, might just be the death of them both.

And I've also read DANGEROUS SECRETS which is book 2

Being a divorce attorney for the rich and famous isn't all it's cracked up to be. Julie Harrison has learnt that love doesn't last, and she's sworn never to make the same mistakes as her mother, or her clients. She uses the games men play to keep them at a distance. The only man who managed to break down her walls was Luke Walker, a Navy SEAL who loved her and left her, and changed her forever.

When Luke arrives back in New York, running Walker Security with his brothers and having left his Navy SEAL days behind, he sets his sights on Julie, the woman he's always wanted and couldn't have. Except, she runs from him every time he gets close.

But now, one of Julie's clients, a powerful judge, gets involved with a dangerous cartel, and his soon-to-be-ex wife ends up dead. Julie's next on the list, and she finds herself on the run from those who believe she knows too much, and counting on Luke to keep her alive. In the deepest, darkest moments of the night, passion will bring them together while danger threatens to tear them apart. Can Julie and Luke trust each other and find their happy ending before they find ... the end?

Both are good books and worth a read, I hate it when I start a series without realising am really not at the beginning  and was a little narked to find that I should have started with Secrets Exposed.
But you can't help but fall for the Walker boys, all muscle and guns to save the day and get the girl.

I Give the series so far 3.5 STARS

So, I'm off to read  Beneath the Secrets Book 3, Part1 ( this is another pet hate of mine, the series of short stories instead of waiting and publish  the book in one go, I'm sure its so the author can get more money out of you)

Good news is that all 4 are now available in 1 book and its a good read, I finished it in a day, had to know what happens next and then it leaves you with a cliff hanger at the end and I've just checked on the website for the next book and there's no info :-(

Part 1 contains One Dangerous night which gives you a run down on what has happened in Blakes life and then continues in Beneath the Secrets

PRELUDE: One Dangerous Night
Blake Walker left behind the ATF when the drug cartel he was hunting cost him the life of his fellow agent, and fiancee. Now, two years later, he's working with his brothers at Walker Security, but he's living fast, hard, and wild, until he reaches the ultimate high...revenge. And he's close, so close he can taste it. He's one meeting, one woman, away from being inside one of the money laundering shells the cartel operates.

One woman....
One dangerously hot night....

Beneath the Secrets, Part One

Two paths collide.
Two people who will do anything, including sleeping with the enemy, to avenge or save someone they love. But what if everything isn't as it seems and the enemy isn't the enemy at all? Can these two broken people drawn together by their sizzling hot attraction see beyond their pain and their need for vengeance and find the trust they will need to survive a vicious drug lord's wrath before it's too late?

If you love Romance/Suspense you'll love this series :-)

Its got to be 4 STARS for me

Perfect Idea :-)

Bare It All (Love Undercover #2) By Lori Foster

"A cop's craving to know more about the woman next door could prove fatal in the steamy new novel from New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster"

As the person responsible for taking down a brutal human trafficker, Alice Appleton fears retaliation at every turn. No one knows about her past, which is exactly how she prefers it...until the sexy cop next door comes knocking.

Detective Reese Bareden thinks he knows what makes women tick, but his ever-elusive neighbour keeps him guessing like no other. Is his goal to unmask Alice's secrets? Or protect her from a dangerous new threat? One thing is certain: their chemistry is a time bomb waiting to explode. And with no one to trust but each other, Reese and Alice are soon drawn into a deadly maze of corruption, intrigue and desire-and into the line of fire...

OK so after the wait this book finally arrived and I wasn't disappointed.  The story continues the day after Run The Risk .  And centres around Alice and Reece with all the characters from the last book too and also Trace from A Trace Of Fever

Reece knows Alice is hiding a secret past and would like to get to know her a little better but she blanks him at every opportunity until Alice is drawn to Reece's dog Cash.  Reece soon realises that Cash is a bit of a hand full and so asks Alice to help with the dog sitting during the day while he's at work.  Alice eagerly agrees and when the bad guys turn up at Reece's apartment its Alice that helps to save the day.

A really good read and I can't wait for the next one Getting Rowdy

I give it 4 STARS

I couldn't help myself, I just had to read another one of Lori Fosters books.  This is the first book in a new series and the second book is out today(30th April 2013) , yay, and yes its in the post and should be here tomorrow :-D

Well I'm still waiting for the new book to turn up (fingers crossed it will be today)

Lori Foster has done it again, I couldn't put it down.  Just the right amount of romance and suspense.  The characters are great and you didn't quite know who was on the good side although you may have a clue.  If you enjoyed the Men of Honour series you'll love this.

I give it 4.5 STARS only dipped out on 5 stars because I thought it could have done with more suspense before you got to the finale.

Dropped into a world of partying with ski bums and snow bunnies, Clare soon discovers that Sacha was involved in an LSD smuggling ring.  Review

Well written with each chapter dedicated to a character (which I liked).  I didn't know "who dunnit" till the end but I got more thrills knowing I was near the end.  Bit of a slog for me nothing much happened until the last third of the book, it was disappointing as I expected this to be more of a thriller.

I give it 3 STARS

A Perfect Storm by Lori Foster

He never saw her coming… Spencer Lark already knows too many secrets about Arizona Storm, including the nightmare she survived and her resulting trust issues. But in order to expose a smuggling ring—and continue avenging his own tragic past—the bounty hunter reluctantly agrees to make Arizona a decoy. Yet nothing has equipped him for her hypnotic blend of fragility and bravery, or for the protective instincts she stirs in him. Arizona wants to reclaim her life, which means acting as bait to lure the enemy into a trap. Sure it’s dangerous, especially with a partner as distractingly appealing as Spencer. But as their plan—and their chemistry—shifts into high gear, Arizona may discover there’s an even greater risk in surrendering her heart to a hero…. Don’t miss more smoldering tales of men who walk on the edge of honor

WARNING

This is book 4 of the  Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series and I really urge you to read the others first.

Well whats a girl not to like, Alpha males, guns and hot sex.  Great books that are well written, all of them centre around uncovering human trafficking rings.  I loved the characters, theres romance, humour and thrills and spills all the way.  Only problem I had was not being able to get my hands on then straight away, Savour the danger and A perfect storm I had to have shipped from America.

I have to confess I haven't read The Guy Next Door which is a prequel to When you Dare mainly because I didn't realise there was one and I haven't read What Chris Wants because even thought i'd love to know more about the character I think he deserves more that a short story.

I give it 4.5 STARS only dipped out on 5 because I would have liked alittle more action in this one

I have a confession, I love reading books by Marie Force, this is the first single title I've read from her and I'm struggling to put it down.  I devoured The McCarthys of Gansett Island Series , all 8 of them (so far).  Now I have to decide, do I keep reading the single titles or do I start The Fatal Series or The Treading Water Series?
Anyway, I'm half way through and I only started this afternoon so I'll be back very soon...

OK, so I'm finished and Marie kept me guessing to the very end, I had no idea who it could have been.  Its well written and the characters are great, I was hooked from the first chapter.  It's an emotional rollercoaster of which I found myself crying on more than one occasion.

I give the book 5 STARS

The Girl, the Gold Tooth, and Everything By Francine LaSala

Mina Clark is losing her mind—or maybe it’s already gone. She isn’t quite sure. Feeling displaced in her over-priced McMansion-dotted suburban world, she is grappling not only with deep debt, a mostly absent husband, and her playground-terrorizer 3-year old Emma, but also with a significant amnesia she can’t shake—a “temporary” condition now going on several years, brought on by a traumatic event she cannot remember, and which everyone around her feels is best forgotten.

When a trip to the dentist leaves Mina with a new gold crown, her whole life changes. Slowly her memory and her mojo return. But when everything begins to crash down around her, she's not sure if what's happening is real, of if she's just now fully losing her mind... especially when she realizes the only person she can trust is the one she fears the most. What’s it all going to cost her in the end?

OK, so 8 days later ( there should be a clue there) and I'm finally finished.  Francine Lasala is a great writer with an amazing imagination but I really struggled with this book and until I got about half way, I even toyed with the idea of not finishing it, only my need to know what the hell was going on with Mina and who's real and who's not made me continue.  I feel really awful not liking the book because so many people have loved it, but sadly its not for me

I give it 3.5 STARS

My hobbies include living history, crochet, tatting, sewing and of course reading.
I'd never been much of a reader, I'd read the odd Barbara Erskine ( Lady of Hay was Brilliant),

Lady of Hay Barbara Erskine
But when i decided to read 50 Shades of Grey by E.L.James in June 2012, That's when the trouble started, now I've always got my head in a book, my kindle goes with me everywhere, i'm never without reading material.
