But the elusive beauty is more suspicious—and in far more danger—than he expected. And the last thing Logan needs is to start caring for her…. Pepper has spent the last five years dodging the corrupt club owner who will stop at nothing to keep her silenced. I couldn't help myself, I just had to read another one of Lori Fosters books.  This is the first book in a new series and the second book is out today(30th April 2013) , yay, and yes its in the post and should be here tomorrow :-D

Well I'm still waiting for the new book to turn up (fingers crossed it will be today)

Lori Foster has done it again, I couldn't put it down.  Just the right amount of romance and suspense.  The characters are great and you didn't quite know who was on the good side although you may have a clue.  If you enjoyed the Men of Honour series you'll love this.

I give it 4.5 STARS only dipped out on 5 stars because I thought it could have done with more suspense before you got to the finale.

The victim’s mother, a U.S. senator, says her daughter would not, and did not, kill herself. At her request, the FBI sends in an undercover agent — Clare Vengel — to find out who might have killed Sacha and why. Dropped into a world of partying with ski bums and snow bunnies, Clare soon discovers that Sacha was involved in an LSD smuggling ring. Worse: the top cop in Whistler is in cahoots with the smugglers, and Clare’s cover is too precarious for comfort. As suspicion snowballs, can Clare solve the case before she’s buried alive?

 Review

Well written with each chapter dedicated to a character (which I liked).  I didn't know "who dunnit" till the end but I got more thrills knowing I was near the end.  Bit of a slog for me nothing much happened until the last third of the book, it was disappointing as I expected this to be more of a thriller.

I give it 3 STARS

A Perfect Storm by Lori Foster

He never saw her coming… Spencer Lark already knows too many secrets about Arizona Storm, including the nightmare she survived and her resulting trust issues. But in order to expose a smuggling ring—and continue avenging his own tragic past—the bounty hunter reluctantly agrees to make Arizona a decoy. Yet nothing has equipped him for her hypnotic blend of fragility and bravery, or for the protective instincts she stirs in him. Arizona wants to reclaim her life, which means acting as bait to lure the enemy into a trap. Sure it’s dangerous, especially with a partner as distractingly appealing as Spencer. But as their plan—and their chemistry—shifts into high gear, Arizona may discover there’s an even greater risk in surrendering her heart to a hero…. Don’t miss more smoldering tales of men who walk on the edge of honor

WARNING

This is book 4 of the  Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series and I really urge you to read the others first.

Well whats a girl not to like, Alpha males, guns and hot sex.  Great books that are well written, all of them centre around uncovering human trafficking rings.  I loved the characters, theres romance, humour and thrills and spills all the way.  Only problem I had was not being able to get my hands on then straight away, Savour the danger and A perfect storm I had to have shipped from America.

I have to confess I haven't read The Guy Next Door which is a prequel to When you Dare mainly because I didn't realise there was one and I haven't read What Chris Wants because even thought i'd love to know more about the character I think he deserves more that a short story.

I give it 4.5 STARS only dipped out on 5 because I would have liked alittle more action in this one

I have a confession, I love reading books by Marie Force, this is the first single title I've read from her and I'm struggling to put it down.  I devoured The McCarthys of Gansett Island Series , all 8 of them (so far).  Now I have to decide, do I keep reading the single titles or do I start The Fatal Series or The Treading Water Series?
Anyway, I'm half way through and I only started this afternoon so I'll be back very soon...

OK, so I'm finished and Marie kept me guessing to the very end, I had no idea who it could have been.  Its well written and the characters are great, I was hooked from the first chapter.  It's an emotional rollercoaster of which I found myself crying on more than one occasion.

I give the book 5 STARS

The Girl, the Gold Tooth, and Everything By Francine LaSala

Mina Clark is losing her mind—or maybe it’s already gone. She isn’t quite sure. Feeling displaced in her over-priced McMansion-dotted suburban world, she is grappling not only with deep debt, a mostly absent husband, and her playground-terrorizer 3-year old Emma, but also with a significant amnesia she can’t shake—a “temporary” condition now going on several years, brought on by a traumatic event she cannot remember, and which everyone around her feels is best forgotten.

When a trip to the dentist leaves Mina with a new gold crown, her whole life changes. Slowly her memory and her mojo return. But when everything begins to crash down around her, she's not sure if what's happening is real, of if she's just now fully losing her mind... especially when she realizes the only person she can trust is the one she fears the most. What’s it all going to cost her in the end?

OK, so 8 days later ( there should be a clue there) and I'm finally finished.  Francine Lasala is a great writer with an amazing imagination but I really struggled with this book and until I got about half way, I even toyed with the idea of not finishing it, only my need to know what the hell was going on with Mina and who's real and who's not made me continue.  I feel really awful not liking the book because so many people have loved it, but sadly its not for me

I give it 3.5 STARS
